First District of Tarlac Representative, Congressman Charlie Cojuangco, is donating his salary for the year 2020 for the food, medical supplies and other essential needs of the district to augment the hardship of fellow Filipinos amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic. His office is continuously distributing aids to the residents of the district.

Food relief packs have been distributed to the whole First District of Tarlac to help the displaced constituents since the declaration of provincial wide lockdown last March 29. Congressman Charlie also donated Personal Protective Equipment, as well as other medical needs of the Tarlac hospitals.

Cong. Charlie lauds the Filipino front-liners who have been serving the Philippines despite the challenges and hazards of this pandemic. To help our country, he encourages his constituents to stay at home when able and to follow the guidelines issued by the Department of Health to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in the county.

As of April 23, the province of Tarlac has 25 cases of COVID-19 positive, with three deaths and two recoveries.

Inspirational Speech delivered by Cong. Charlie O. Cojuangco during the 111th Founding Anniversary of San Manuel on February 23, 2020, at the Cultural Center, San Manuel, Tarlac

Naimbag a sardam! I’d like to acknowledge first… (greet list). Thank you for having me here.

Today, I am privileged to speak before you for the San Manuel’s 111th Founding Anniversary. It is in these kinds of celebration that I feel great joy as I am blessed to witness a momentous event in the life of my kababayans.

The people of San Manuel have always had a positive attitude and hope for the future since its settlement one hundred and eleven years ago.  Your rich history of diversity as a result of your forefather’s diaspora from neighboring provinces towards this inclusive town is a testament to how open and welcome you are to innovation and change that is crucial in creating a community that the province can be proud of. This year’s momentous celebration is a testament that San Manuel has risen as a community despite the adversities of life and is ready to take on a new chapter of progress.

As a primarily agricultural town, our goal to contribute, modernize, and improve our industry is part of the nations’ thrust of AMBISYON NATIN 2040. Keeping this goal at heart, let us improve our thriving industry towards becoming a 1st class municipality. Our forefathers have proven that we can succeed if we put our hopes and perseverance to work.

As your Representative in congress, I am ready to work with you to strengthen and develop our capacities towards a better and brighter San Manuel, for this generation to the next.  Together, we can make the “Jewel of Tarlac” the brightest of all the jewels.

Agyamanak unay, mabuhay po kayo San Manuel!
